Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G Philippines Design
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G is a midrange budget phone but it doesn't feel like one. The phone features a glass back with a matte finish which makes it feel and look super premium. The flat sides make the phone stand out from other budget phones that have curved sides.
The Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G has the volume rocker and the power button which is also the fingerprint sensor on the right side. This is my preferred button placement, I can easily access everything I need as a right-handed person. You can find the 3.5mm jack at the top, and the USB-C port at the bottom.
The Note 11 Pro 5G has stereo speakers that can be found on the top (amplified earpiece speaker) and the bottom of the phone as well. There is a triple camera setup on the back and I like the arrangement compared to its predecessor, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro Max.
Overall, the design is impressive and doesn't feel like a midrange phone at all. The phone also feels durable and premium thanks to the flat sides and Gorilla Glass 5 back. I love the flat sides and glass back design with a matte finish. The phone is sized well and lightweight, making it ergonomic for all-day use.
The left-hand side has the hybrid SIM slot. The Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G can either run dual SIM cards or a SIM card with a microSD card.
You can find the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G in the Philippines in three color variants, Phantom White, Mirage Blue, and Stealth Black, out of which, Phantom white is my favorite. I like the Mirage Bluee too, looks like an ocean.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G Philippines Display
The Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G has an amazing display for its price. The phone sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that is large and bright. The display is colorful, vivid, and pleasing to look at. With a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and 365 PPI, the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G was sharp and clear no matter what content I threw at it.
Xiaomi didn't cut corners and offers a 120 Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. Both of these come together to offer a fast, responsive, and smooth experience. The small camera cutout is also unobtrusive and makes it a good content consumption phone.
For under 25000 INR the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G has the best smartphone display. The display is bright for outdoor use, fast and responsive for navigation/gaming, and colorful for movies/videos. I love the display, it's perfect for the price. The display is also protected by Gorilla Glass 5 which is a cool addition.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G Philippines Performance
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 695. This processor is a good chip for daily tasks like browsing and for even some gaming It is even better than the Snapdragon 750G. It may not set benchmarks on fire, but it offers a good, smooth experience for the price.
The Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G offers good RAM and storage too, the LPDDR4X RAM is fast and so is the UFS 2.2 storage. This makes the phone snappy and fast when it comes to opening apps, games, and files. You can choose the phone from 6/8 GB RAM options along with 128/256 GB storage options.
The hardware coupled with the new MIUI 13, the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G offers good performance no matter what you are doing. The processor could have been better, but it's still no slouch and will keep you happy for anything that isn't GPU intensive.
I also don't that Xiaomi didn't offer Android 12 with the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G. Android 12 is much better than Android 11 and Google's latest Android OS was already a few months old during its launch. I think Xiaomi could have done better with the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G in this regard.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G Philippines Camera
Cameras on midrange phones are rarely amazing but are still important when it comes to influencing buyers. Sadly, budget buyers usually think quantity is better than quality when it comes to cameras.
Regardless, the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G features a decent camera setup and is much better than most smartphones in the price category but not the best. The phone has three sensors out of which only two are good.
The 108 MP primary wide camera is good and balanced for most use cases but shines in daylight conditions, and struggles a bit at night. The 8 MP ultra-wide camera is decent for wide-angle shots. The 2 MP macro sensors are pretty much useless except for niche cases.
The phone supports 720p and 1080p video recording at 30 fps, which is disappointing for this day and age. Xiaomi should have added 60fps recording support and maybe even 4K recording at 30 fps.
The 16 MP selfie camera is good for the occasional selfie, reels, and video call. The phone tends to over-process images but nowadays almost all phones including flagships do this, which is a shame.
Overall, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 offers a good camera experience. It is not amazing, but it holds its own against the competition. I wish instead of offering garbage tier macro and depth sensors, Xiaomi would improve the main or ultrawide sensors.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G Philippines Battery
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G is excellent in the battery department. Xiaomi has almost always offered impressive battery life and technology in every price category they compete in and it's no different from the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G.
The phone comes with a non-removable 5000 mAh Li-Po battery. A large battery combined with the efficient 6nm Snapdragon 695, the phone offers excellent battery life.
While the Snapdragon 695 is not the best for performance, it shines at battery efficiency. So some redemption for Xiaomi's choice in the processor department.
The best part is that Xiaomi offers 67W fast charging with the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G. This allows the phone to charge in under 45 minutes. This is better than mid-range phones like the Samsung A series and iPhone SE.
I love the battery life and the charging performance of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G. It is my favorite part of the phone.
