Xiaomi 4 Compact Vs Mi 3H
I'll compare the Xiaomi Mi 3H to the Xiaomi 4 Compact air purifier, which I recently examined. Comparing Xiaomi's fourth-generation air purifier to the storied Mi 3H is a true delight.
Considering their differences in room coverage, these two air purifiers are actually only somewhat different from one another. The Xiaomi Mi 3H has nearly twice the coverage of the Xiaomi 4 Compact, covering rooms up to 484 sq. ft., whereas the Xiaomi 4 Compact only covers tiny rooms up to 206 sq. ft.
When it comes to features, there is almost any distinction between the two sophisticated, technologically advanced handsets. Both air purifiers come equipped with an air quality sensor, an air quality metre, and a Mi Home App connection. Both use 3-stage filtration technology, so there aren't much differences in terms of that as well. The Xiaomi Mi 3H filter's slightly bigger size is the only notable filtration difference.
Although these two air purifiers are designed for rooms with differing sizes, this does not preclude the Xiaomi 4 Compact from outperforming the competition in tests and proving to be a superior purchase.

Which One Is Better - Xiaomi 4 Compact or Mi 3H?
The size and power of the air purifier are two of the most crucial parameters, and in this comparison, they favour the Mi 3H, so this contest may not be fair. Perhaps this is also the case for the Xiaomi Mi 3H's slightly improved performance test results, increased number of working modes, and quieter operation at low speeds.
Because it is stronger, has bigger filters, performed better in performance testing, and has a few somewhat more sophisticated features, in my opinion the Xiaomi Mi 3H is a superior option.
Don't get me wrong, the Xiaomi 4 Compact is a nearly just as good air purifier as the Mi 3H, but more is required to surpass it. If I planned to use the air purifier mostly in my bedroom, workplace, or another similarly sized room, I would choose the Xiaomi Mi 4 Compact instead.

How to choose what filter is best for you though?
Now that you know what each filter does, the first thing to notice is the size of your room. The products listed above are in an order that corresponds to increasing space. If you have a large space that requires intense cleaning, it is best to select one that is 20-40% larger than the room for the best performance.
If you’re rather tech-savvy and prefer being able to see what’s happening, I’d suggest you go for the models 3H or higher. But most importantly, knowing how polluted the area you live in is is essential.

Why you should Replace Xiaomi Air Purifier Filters?
Air purifier filters have a limited lifetime, no matter the model, use case, or air quality, if you continuously use an air purifier, the filter will stop functioning after a while. This applies to Xiaomi air purifiers and their filters too.
Over time air purifier filters collect dust and become clogged. This will affect purifying performance. An old, clogged air purifier filter will be poor at purifying as well as efficiency.
Since the filter is blocked, the purifier has to work harder to make airflow possible. This can break cause issues with other components and end up using much more electricity.
So if you haven't replaced the filter in your Xiaomi air purifier, then there is a good chance that it is not operating at its maximum efficiency. This can lead to poor air quality, high energy consumption, and louder operating volumes.
It is important to replace filters every once in a while for your Xiaomi air purifier.
How Do You Clean a Xiaomi Air Purifier HEPA Filter?
Cleaning your Xiaomi Air Purifier filters is a simple process. Just follow these steps,
Step 1 Detach the filtration system from your Xiaomi air purifier.
Step 2 Rinse the HEPA filter using clean water. You need to be careful as filter material delicate.
Step 3 Let the filter dry in the air.
Note that if your HEPA filter is marked permanent, use a vacuum cleaner to clean the clogged dirt. Do not use water on the permanent HEPA filters as it can damage them.
What if you don’t replace the filter on time?
Old and worn-out air purifier filters decrease the efficiency of air purifiers. This can lead to poor filtration and so you might be back to breathing polluted air. It can also lead to secondary pollution as your air purifier will have to work harder to purify. This means it will use more energy.
If the filter is clogged, it can increase the load on the motor and ventilation system. Contaminated filters also increase resistance and so airflow reduces and pressure increases. This can lead to the failure of the air purifier in the long term.
Due to all the above reasons, it is recommended to clean or replace the filter of your Xiaomi air purifier every 6 months. You can use the Mi Home app to check the filter capacity and replace it accordingly as well. A dirty filter will not filter properly and it will also consume more energy so be aware.
