The winters at my place get really cold and I've been through countless heaters and nothing has come even remotely close to what the Xiaomi heater.

• You can pretty much set the temperature from 16-32 degrees Celsius and it's a great alternative for a central heating system and a thermostat. So, if your living in an old house or apartment then this heather might be extremely useful. One of the things I really appreciated was the time it takes to heat up a room. Obviously, it depends on the size of the room. However, it can elevate the temperature to a comfortable level in 15 minutes.

• Since it's a smart device, I've managed to hook it up to the Xiaomi smart home ecosystem. So, I can control the temperature through my voice. I absolutely loved this feature. Moreover, I've used various other automation rules to make my life much more simple. Using sensors, I've programmed it to automatically turn on when I enter my room. This really does come in hand during the winters.

• The heater is designed to be as efficient as possible due to the honeycomb structure which not only heats up the room fast but it also does so without overheating. Also, the safety measures really do give you peace of mind. As for long term performance, I've pretty much used it for the past 11 months without any issues.

• It is IPX4 splash-proof water. Basically it won't die if you or your kids accidentally spill water on it. It doesn't mean you can take it into the bathroom.
